True Blood: 06x01 – Who Are You, Really?

The premiere of season six starts off just were season fived ended, Bill has merged with Lilith and everyone is wondering what this hybrid is now capable of. The group is trying to flee the compound before this new monster and terror can get them. Meanwhile, Alcide has become the new packmaster and starts to learn about what is new job and title entails as well as some of the perks. Andy with the help of Arlene and Terry being taking care of the newborn human-faerie hybrids. And all hell breaks loose when Governor Burrell calls open season of vampires, literally. Jason meets an unlikely stranger.

  • The team work of Eric and Sookie – miss this pair so much
  • Eric and Sookie pulling up in the car and surprising everyone
  • The theme song – missed this too
  • Everyone telling Jason to shut up
  • Tara still not liking Eric much after anything – kind of funny
  • Pam still trying to be the baddest bitch in town with sarcasm
  • Alcide being pack master
  • Arlene helping Andy raise the babies and her freaking out about aliens

  • What is with the powdered blood on the floor? Didn’t look like normal vampire death.

  • The fae babies are now toddlers?
  • Bill’s weird vision and hearing the voice of Lilith
  • So Niall is Warlow but Warlow is a vampire but Niall is a fae – darn shouldn’t have read the books

TVD Season 4 Answers

I found this in my drafts and was confused at first what it was. Then I remembered. Well lets see what some of these answers are.

The Cure
Julie Plec revealed com that the cure WILL get ingested this season! She just didn’t tell us WHO would be drinking it. There are many who want it, but who gets it? Rebekah has already ingested a fake cure, Silas has demanded that Klaus hand it over, and Elena is threatening to go kill crazy unless the Salvatore brothers back off with the cure thing.

Answer: Katherine

Silas
We discovered that Silas could transform into any being that he wants, however we will see his real face before season 4 ends.

Answer: Stefan

Klaroline
We know that Klaus will be heading over to the “Originals” spinoff series, Plec teased that he “might be around to wish Caroline a happy graduation.”

Answer: He was, and gave Tyler the freedom to return to Mystic Falls

Tyler’s Return
Tyler has been MIA ever since Klaus threatened to kill him. Yay!  But now he’s coming back. Boo! Yeah, I am not a Tyler fan. Reports say that Tyler will be back to “share one more pivotal moment with Caroline this season.”

Answer: Tyler returns to Mystic Falls for Prom

Jeremey’s Ring
Remember Jeremy’s magical Gilbert Ring that brought him back to life a bunch of times (except, you know, that last time)? Elena took the ring off of his corpse and threw it at Damon. No one has seen it since, but Plec teased that “this may not be the last we see of that Gilbert ring.” Hmmm… I wonder who plays with it next?

Today is Christopher Lee’s Birthday!  In celebration, here are some images of him in what is probably his signature role, Dracula.  

Every actor who portrays the Count brings something different to the role.  Bela Lugosi brought the sinister, Old World charm.  Frank Langella  was all about smouldering looks and longing.  Gary Oldman brought torment and unsated passion.  Christopher Lee though brought a kind of monstrous menace that no other screen Dracula has ever matched.  

Every moment he was on scree, whether he was speaking or not, he oozed a kind of Magnificent Malevolence, a diabolic charm.  His was not a romantic figure longing for romance or lost love.  Lee’s Dracula was a figure of hideous desire coupled with blasphemous power bent on crushing the world beneath his well-heeled boot and taking what he wanted by force.  The weak of will wanted to serve him, the strong of will to destroy him and the rest just cowered in fear from his very name.

When I think of Dracula, when I read the original novel, I see Christopher Lee in the role.  He’s the only actor who has ever truly put the monstrous inhumanity of the character at the forefront of his performance.  

Happy Birthday Mr. Lee.

The Vampire Diaries: 04x23 – Graduation

Graduation is finally here! And so are the ghosts. Galen is back and surprises Damon which endangers his long life. Rebekah and Matt must look to the future while dealing in the present and fighting the past. Conner has returned and like the other hunters only seeks one thing – the cure. Bonnie without the help of her body tries to enjoy graduation and return the veil to it’s rightful place. Stefan is given a clue to who Silas really is.

Favorite Quote:  “He’s your first love. I intend to be your last, however long it takes.” – Klaus 

Likes:

  • Bon Jovi playing and Lexi dancing around
  • Stefan hair comments – hero hair
  • Family time with Elena, Jeremy and Alaric
  • Alaric still trying to protect Elena
  • Matt and Rebekah’s plans for after high school
  • Damon giving Elena the cure and wanting her to take it
  • Rebekah sacrificing herself and doing what she want to do to live
  • Caroline calling Klaus to threaten and get help from him
  • Watching them all graduate – teary
  • Alaric to the rescue
  • Klaus shows up – eee! Never been so happy to see him
  • Klaus heals Damon – praise the gods
  • Caroline invited Klaus to attend graduation
  • Klaus setting Tyler free – so romantic, love him already!
  • Damon being his truthful and straight forward self - he’s the one!

  • Still don’t like the idea of Matt standing on a bomb
  • No one knowing that Bonnie is dead
  • Kol ruining the moment
  • Elena slapping Damon – wtf?
  • Elena giving the cure to Stefan
  • The sad look on Stefan’s face because of eavesdropping
  • The ghosts all slowly disappearing – sad batty
  • Bonnie wanting Jeremy to lie to everyone about Bonnie
  • Elena and Katherine cat-fight – really?

WTF:

  • Where is aunt Jenna? Why was she not on the other side?
  • Again, can you really kill a ghost? Guess not.
  • Portland? All the places and that’s the best he can come up with?
  • My shadow self? Oh man, season 5 is going to be so messed up!
